Ouch!!

Greyson had his first big crash last week.  He tripped over a shoes and landed in just the right position to split his eye open on the back door.  When I went to pick him up, he was bleeding pretty good.  We went back and forth on whether or not we should take him to the ER for some stitches.  It stopped bleeding pretty fast so Ez ran up to Walgreens for some first aid stuff.  He cleaned it up and put on a butterfly bandage and some liquid band aid.  This week it is almost completely healed up and looks great thanks to Ezra's handy work.

Goodbye UB

During graduation week the dental school held and open house for the friends and family of all graduating seniors.  As if Ezra hadn't seen enough of this place after the last for years, I made him give it a proper goodbye with pictures of the kids of course.
Ezra's name on the wall in his operatory.
We took the whole fam, so Ezra's Dad and Linda could see the clinic where Ezra saw patients over the last few years.
 Ave sitting in his chair.
Greyson lovin' getting sprayed in the face with the air hose.

 A future Dr. Boekweg.
I made Ezra put on part of his "dentist outfit" and take a pic with Ave.  She got a little tense when he lowered the chair back and put the gloves on.  She's not a big fan of the dentist...even if he is her dad.
A family pic in Ezra's Operatory, for commemorative sake!

Mother's Day 2011

I had a great Mother's Day this year.  When I woke up, I was greeted by this sweet girl with a Mother's day gift that she had been dying to give me since Thursday.  This was the first Mothers day I have received something made especially for me by one of my children.  So I was just as excited a she was to see what she made me at preschool.
This year I received a lovely hand crafted mirror to hang in a super special place.  Avery pointed out it has "Beautiful Mom" written at the top, so I can remember that I am beautiful.  What a sweet girl!
The Kids & Ez also planned a super surprise (because I live for surprises) bike ride (and family bike rides) to a local park where we dined on a chicken salad lunch prepared just for me.  The perfect day!!
 Grey lovin' the swings.
 Ezra lovin' the frog.
...And Ezra even gave Avery a turn on his frog.
Greyson and his total fascination with wood chips.  This is the face he make and says whooo as the chips fall through his fingers.
Snacking on wood chips and sticking some up his nose for fun.

I was showered with gifts from Avery all day long.  Here is one of them, an awesome rock sea castle complete with pine cones and sticks she collected from all over the yard.  It doesn't get much better than this!!

Yearbook Page

Ezra got his 2011 yearbook a few weeks ago.  The dental school yearbooks are mainly dedicated to the graduating senior class.  Each senior gets a page to write a dedication and add pics of his friends and family.  Its a fun keepsake to remember all the great people we have met during our four years here. If you are interested in reading it, click on the pic to make it larger and again to make it easier to read.
